Create A Class
The Create A Class system has been drastically improved from the original Call of Duty Series. This time, each Perk, Weapon, piece of Equipment, and more will cost one point in the new Pick 10 System. In this way, every player will create a class in their own way, as long as their points don't add up over ten when going into a match. This may make you not have as many items as other people. This will allow players to switch up their play style and make each and every game unique, hopefully. The available slots for Loadouts include:
- Primary Weapon
- Two Attachments for Primary Weapon
- Secondary Weapon
- One Attachment for Secondary Weapon
- Perk 1
- Perk 2
- Perk 3
- One Lethal
- Two Tacticals
- Three Wildcards
Unlocking Items
Create A Class becomes available at Level 4. You will be given 4 Unlock Tokens to unlock four different items. Unfortunately, you can only unlock items that are readily available. You must reach a specific level before certain items become available to unlock with an unlock token.Perks
Perks are special abilities in Multiplayer that give players an upper hand, hence the name "Perks."Each Class in Black Ops II's multiplayer allows you to choose one perk in each of the three Tiers, unless you choose a Wildcard that allows you to choose two in the same tier.
Pro Perks will not make a return in BOII, and all weapon based perks have been made into select Attachments.
The following are confirmed perks separated into their three tiers. Click each perk to see the known info on its own page.
Tier 1 Perks
- Lightweight
- Hardline
- Blind Eye
- Flak Jacket
- Ghost
Tier 2 Perks

Scorestreaks
Scorestreaks are the new kind of Kill Streaks in Call of Duty Black Ops II. The name has been changed because kills aren't the only thing that increases these streaks and rewards.Customizing Scorestreaks are "unlocked" at Level 7. After level 7, more Scorestreaks rewards must be unlocked at select levels. Once the Scorestreak is available, an unlock token must be used to unlock each Scorestreak reward for use.
Instead of only getting kills to count towards a streak, points from objectives will add to your streak, allowing you to get Scorestreak Rewards. There are many things that can add to your score streak, each with their own values. Several ways include:
- Get a Kill.
- Get a Kill with a Scorestreak (Reduced Points).
- Get an Assist.
- Defend your teammates with an Assault Shield.
- Capture a flag in Capture the Flag or Domination.
- Plant a bomb in Search & Destroy or Demolition.
- Defuse a bomb in Search & Destroy or Demolition.
- Capture an HQ in Headquarters.
- Destroy an HQ in Headquarters.
- Capture an enemy or friendly dog tag in Kill Confirmed.
- Capture the Hardpoint in Hardpoint
- Destroy enemy Scorestreak Rewards.
The following Scorestreak Rewards are available in Call of Duty Black Ops II. Click each Scorestreak Reward's page for more information. This table lists the Scorestreak, what level it's available for unlock, and how many points are needed to use in a match. Only three Scorestreak Rewards can be chosen before the game. Unlike Modern Warfare 3, the three Scorestreak Rewards will cover all classes.

Prestige
Prestige will be with 10 levels of prestige along side the 55 ranks in
Multiplayer. Call of Duty Black Ops II does not "wipe the slate clean"
and require players to start over at each Prestige -- instead, it
continues a player's level progression. Weapon XP and/or earned Attachments are not reset, nor are Challenges -- anything earned stays unlocked for continued use.
League Play is a new matchmaking system in Call of Duty Black Ops II. This system will allow players to play against people around the world on their own skill level. Instead of waiting for friends to get online, creating clans, or playing against unbalanced skill levels, people can play on a leveled field every time.
When starting League Play, the player will play in a series of five placement matches. After the matches, each player will be placed into one of the following skill divisions (descending order):
Prestige Awards
Upon achieving Prestige status, players receive a "Prestige Token," which is a special type of unlock token allowing players to unlock whatever they want - forever. That includes things for which players haven't reached the level requirement. Achieving Prestige brings a few rewards to use such as the ability to take an extra Create-A-Class slot (up to five total), the ability to reset stats entirely, or secure a "refund." (A refund returns all of the unlock tokens spent so far and re-locks the content.) Players can then choose to unlock a different set of items than the ones previously selected.League Play

The table below lists the level, the XP needed to reach that level (total XP), and the items unlocked at that level.
Various items are unlocked through leveling up, but the item cannot be used. An "Unlock Token" must be used in Create A Class to unlock it for use. One Unlock Token will become available each time a new level is reached.
Medals are basically XP Bonuses in Multiplayer. They are awarded alongside a small amount of Experience Points every time the condition is met.
The table below will list all medals in alphabetical order. At this time, it is far from complete. Feel free to add those you earn, but please stick to the format.
